See Beneath Your Beautiful
I went to your shadow with love and this is what I said –
“I see you beneath the hurt, shame, disgust, fear, doubt, pain, loneliness and victimhood.
I see your strength, resilience, thoughtfulness, caring, nurturing, courage, healing, creativity, determination and your truth.
I watch how you flood the world with light even when it gets too much for you.
I’ve seen how you continue to give despite the longing you have to receive.
I know how you want to be recognised, acknowledged, known and your stories told.
Those stories that sit like carved tattoos on your skin. The ones that shout out in the night asking to be made into a book, a movie and a love story.
I know you’ve been abused, neglected, abandoned, you’ve suffered loss on such great scales and you’ve dragged yourself through when others would have crumbled and died.
I’ve witnessed how you’ve been used, raped, cheated on, rejected and beaten. How you hurt yourself and you let them hurt you.
I’ve watched how you went from powerless to freeing yourself and how you’re coming into true power now.
The things they said, what they did and how they acted cutting into you like a knife. Leaving your heart to bleed and they didn’t even flinch or look back. You’ve been left for dead.
Despite this you picked yourself up, dusted off the poison and continued to set out in the world to spread love.
You – who was so deprived of love – set out and spilled it every place you could. Never stopping for a breath or to think of yourself.
You went about it with such utter purpose that everyone has had to take note.
You gave to the children when no one else would. You went without so they would not feel the searing pains you still feel now.
You saw what needed to be put right and you went at it. You left behind everything. Taking it right down to the ashes.
Not one person helped you. Though some stood by you. You. It was you that has made it this far and it was you that felt every bit of hurt to get you here.
At times you were very ready to give up. To end life. To escape the constant flow of suffering and silence.
No one saw what you were going through. But I see it.
I see you.
I see the scars from nightly battles. The internal struggles. The relentless voice against you.
I see the strides you made when there was no set path and how you always chose the path of truth. No matter the cost.
I see how authentic you chose to be and how that lost you friends and family. Those who should have supported you- deserted you. I see how you carry on.
I hear your questions about why me, why this, why can’t I have and why can’t I be normal.
I hear your doubts about if you’re doing it right, if it’s for the best, if you’re going to survive and if you’ll make a difference.
You are so brilliant that you can’t see it.
I see you.
I see beneath your beautiful. “
Your shadow shines so bright.
She is the most radiant of all jewels.
I see Her.
I see you.
You and your shadow are beautiful.
I see your shadow and I say to Her-
“You are the most perfect of all diamonds casting the brightest light out into the world.
What happened to you, what they did to you and how you were not helped, is not fair or right. You deserve better. So much better. You are worthy of the highest love. The most incredible life over flowing with joy. Surrounded by only the most loving supportive people who ‘get’ you. You so deserve that.
In your hour of need they were not there for you. No one cared enough to save you. To help you. To stop them.
It was not right. I’m sorry.
You are too beautiful for this to destroy you. You are too important for this to stop you. You are too needed for this to block you. You are so precious and wanted by the world. You have your place and you have your path.
May that path now open up with such ease and grace filled with light so you find your way.
It is your time. You’ve hurt enough. You’ve cared enough. You’ve suffered enough.
Time to make new choices. Those choices are you.”
Now rise up through your shadow and cast your light once more.
Let us see beneath your beautiful.
Written in love, service and truth. Always.
